Kröver Steffensberg Spätlese 2020

This wine was made from grapes from the same vineyard and the same vintage as the Nudus Steffen. The only difference is in the vinification: although this wine is also fermented spontaneously, it is aged for 18 months in stainless steel tanks instead of in old barrels. It is also filtered and lightly sulphurised before bottling. In contrast to most Spätlese wines made from German Riesling, this white wine is bone dry. The flavours range from lime to green apple, fresh herbs and brioche. The good acidity gives the wine freshness and drinkability. The finish leaves a lovely mineral saltiness.
